Half of A Game-Used Sweater? Plus Pimping.

I've long been a sucker for fantastic patches, even if the player from whom said patch originates from has no ties to my collection and is nothing more than mediocre in terms of his production. If the patch happens to be from one of my main guys, well, that's just the sweet icing on the cake.

Case in point, this incredibly phenomenal Treasured Swatches patch/jersey concoction from '09-'10 UD Artifacts featuring my favorite hockey player and one of my four primary collecting interests, Ryan Getzlaf. For just over half a blaster, I was able to pluck the above bad boy from eBay, and I absolutely love everything about the card. A great, great patch piece with tons of stitching and three colors, plus a jersey piece dripping with stitching of its own, a fat seam, and a boatload of character. Add in a low serial-number - 20/25 - and we have ourselves a winner.

Still high on my Getzlaf want list is a complete jersey, preferably from ITG's Captain-C release. One day....
