Notes From Sunday's Game

  1. We stunk today. It happens.
  2. I'd really like to see both James McDonald and Scott Elbert get multiple starts over the next month or so.
  3. Skipping a start or two from Clayton Kershaw and Chad Billingsley, if we can extend our lead back to around 8+ games, would be a very wise move.
  4. Josh Lindblom could really be of use right now. Just don't let him near Torre.
  5. Bright Spot: Manny was 3-4 with a double.
  6. Even with the team's recent struggles, any team that holds a 5 1/2 game lead while dealing with: 1.) one of it's two best pitchers being injured and 2.) the team in general suffering from a case of the inconsistencies, should be happy knowing things could be a lot worse.
  7. It's still only mid-August. There are plenty of games left to be played.
