An Autograph Against The Glass: Ryan Getzlaf.

Another steal of a deal to post on today, and another Card Draft-funded purchase. The moment I saw Ryan Getzlaf was a part of the Against The Glass autograph set in Panini's 2010-2011 Playoff Contenders product, I knew I had to add the card to my Captain Getz PC. I finally found one at a price I was more than happy with, and took it home for $9.50 shipped.

For an on-card autograph on a beautiful, short-printed card such as this, that's a crazy good deal. Numbered 40/50, this was a great idea on Panini's part, emphasizing an element of the game - against the boards/glass plays that give fans an up-close and personal feel for the game - that goes a bit overlooked when it comes to cards. I actually thought the card was die-cut when I won it, but it is not. That being said, the card is near perfect in my mind, and the only way it could be any better were if it were in fact die-cut.

Scott Niedermayer doing The Creep in the background gives the card a nice touch too. Pretty sure that's former King Alexander Frolov Getz is leaning on.
