Homer Simpson's Auto Is Simply Perfect. Also, This Is Post Number 2000!

Though they rarely show up for auction, a handful of 2001 Inkworks' The Simpsons Mania! signatures have appeared on eBay within the last couple of months. It's a seven-card set I'm putting together and with Inkworks out of business the pickings are always very slim. I spotted a pair of auctions for one I needed and had to go after the first auction to be safe, even though it was the more expensive of the two. Though I ended up paying more than I would have needed to spend, the final price was one I was more than comfortable with. Two down, five to go.

Dan Castellaneta! Soooo pretty! Inkworks really nailed it with the design of the set and the fact that every John Hancock is on-card. The front features images of a quartet of Dan's many animated faces: Homer, Barney, Itchy, and Hans Moleman.

Castellaneta has voiced so many memorable characters and the back makes mention of just a handful of his greatest hits: Homer, Grandpa, Groundskeeper Willie, Barney, Hans, Itchy, and Krusty (the greatest Jewish clown ever, of course.)
