Jose Lima Has Died

According to ESPN Deportes and Deadspin, Jose Lima has passed away at 37 years old. Early reports are that a heart attack was the culprit.

Here's a rough translation from the ESPN Deportes article:
The Dominican thrower Jose Lima died of an sudden infarct the dawn of Sunday in his house in Los Angeles, California, informed to ESPNdeportes.com related and familiar. ' Jose complained while he slept, thought that he had a nightmare. I called to the paramedical ones, but they could not do nada' , it said Dorca Astacio, wife of Lima. Lima, of 37 years, had mark of 89-126 in Great Leagues in 13 seasons with Detroit, Houston, Kansas City, Dodgers of Los Angeles and Mets of New York. It gained 21 parties with the Stars in 1999, but it did not return to the leagues majors after it was dismissed by the Mets with 0-4 mark to the 2006. Lima had not retired of the baseball. The past winter participated in Dominican Liga with the CibaeƱas Eagles and glided to play in the next season, that begins in October.
Lima pitched for the Dodgers in 2004, appearing in 36 games and starting 24 of them. He had a phenomenal start in the playoffs that year, throwing a complete game shutout in Game 3 at Dodger Stadium, shutting down the Cardinals with 4 Ks. He allowed just 1 walk and 5 hits that day. He threw just 109 pitches, 74 for strikes, and had a Game Score of 80.

Lima Time is over, and far too soon.
