- Great defense. Now we'll see more calls for Sherrill to take over for Broxton. Unwarranted calls. (UPDATE: Call # 1 for Broxton's head)
- Clayton Kershaw only lasted 4 innings in his first start in almost a month (2 ER, 4 Hits, 4 K, 1 BB, 2 WP, 79 pitches - 49 for strikes), but he must start in the playoffs. To do anything else would be foolish. Granted, foolish is
JokeJoe Torre's middle name. And first name. - Bullpen: 4.1 IP, 4 Runs [3 ER], 7 Hits, 5 K, 3 BB [all IBB].
- Orlando Hudson (Single, 2 BB [1 IBB]) reached base 3 times, while James Loney (2 Singles) and Ronnie Belliard (Double, Single) each reached base twice.
- The offense drew 4 walks while striking out 5 times.
- 2 Errors, plus a botched double play by Furcal in the 9th. So really 3 Errors, all in the 9th inning.
- Magic number is still just 1.
- The Cleveland Show was atrocious.

I didn't think the Cleveland Show was that bad. The American Dad season premiere was funny. But the Family Guy season premiere was horrible. I don't think I've laughed less at a Family Guy episode.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big Jonathan Broxton fan, but to remove him as closer would be stupid. It was one bad outing, with some bad defense behind him.
ReplyDeleteI love American Dad, it's been better than Family Guy on the whole since it premiered.
ReplyDeleteI thought Family Guy was pretty funny, a couple of blah moments, but solid overall.
I thought there were about 5 funny lines in The Cleveland Show, and 4 of them were said by the Family Guy characters.
Yet I'll still probably watch next week's episode.
