Notes From Wednesday's Game

  1. Stop swinging at the first pitch for fuck's sake! Work a count once in awhile, it won't kill you.
  2. Doug Mientkiewicz returned from the 60-day DL, taking up the open spot on the 40-man roster. He singled in a pinch-hitting appearance.
  3. Chad Billingsley (6 IP, 4 Runs [3 ER], 6 Hits, 5 K, 1 BB, 1 HR Allowed, 93 pitches - 62 for strikes) retired the first 13 batters he faced, then ran into some terrible luck. He made one bad pitch, and it was hammered halfway up the right field bleachers, but 4 ground balls and not one is turned into an out, and 2 of those end up in Dodgers' gloves? Damn I feel bad for him. The first 4 innings is much closer to the real Chad than the 5th inning is.
  4. Bullpen: 3 IP, 0 Runs, 1 Hit, 4 K, 2 BB.
  5. Andre Ethier (3-4, Double, 2 Singles) was the only Dodger to reach base more than once.
