Dodgers Notes From Wednesday's Game 5/26/2010

Dodgers 8, Chicago 5

Box Score.
  • Chad Billingsley went 5.1 very good innings (3 Runs [2 ER], 10 Hits, 6 K, 1 BB, 1 HR Allowed, 1 HBP, 100 pitches - 70 for strikes). A second of those earned runs should have been unearned had the Chicago home cooking from the scorekeeper not occurred, and an error correctly been charged to Manny Ramirez.
  • Bullpen: 3.2 IP, 2 ER, 4 Hits, 5 K, 0 BB.
  • Jonathan Broxton got the save, of the 5-out variety.
  • Casey Blake hit his 7th HR of the season.
  • James Loney (Triple, Double, Single) reached base 3 times, while Blake DeWitt (2 Singles) and Blake (HR, Double) each reached base twice.
  • The offense struck out 8 times, drew 3 walks, and, coming off of back-to-back games without an extra-base hit, knocked out 6 extra-base hits in this crazy game.
  • Manny Ramirez was truly brutal in left field.
  • Lovely 18 minute power outage, eh?
