Via Major League Baseball's Transactions Page and MLB Trade Rumors, we find that the Dodgers signed pitcher Jon Huber to a minor league deal on Friday.
Huber, 29 in July, was drafted in 2000 by the Padres in the 5th round of the amateur draft.
In parts of 2 seasons with the Mariners in the show, Huber made 25 appearances, all in relief, and, over 28 innings, struck out 6.1/9 IP, walked 3.2/9 IP, had a 1.18 WHIP, and a 3.36 FIP. Huber last pitched in the majors in 2007.
An interesting note is that Huber was traded straight-up in July of 2004 for former Dodger Dave Hansen, which is how his ticket to Seattle was punched.
Huber was also a member of the Braves organization, pitching for their AAA affiliate, as well as the Tigers organization for a brief time.
Huber's been assigned to AA Chattanooga.
