Jimmy Bramlett, via Twitter, reports awful news: Garret Anderson will keep his job while Xavier Paul is optioned back to AAA to make room on the 25-man roster for the return of Manny Ramirez.
Yes, this is just another example of Colletti's many failures.

He screws up by bringing him in, and then given an easy out now, even when it's coming too late, he passes it up because someone could claim Anderson off of waivers. Who cares? He's awful.
And I love that Garret pic, only on a baseball card. I use it whenever I can haha.
And this is why Ned Colletti sucks.
ReplyDeleteNice GA card. He looks like such a dork in that pic.

From Dodgers.com:
ReplyDelete"I don't fit here right now, that's it," Paul said after being consoled by teammates Casey Blake and Matt Kemp. "Right now, I just don't cut it here."
Paul said he was told by general manager Ned Colletti to work on his mental approach to the game "and being a big leaguer."
Way to boost a guy;s confidence, Ned. There's not enough fuck you in the world to cover this one.
Wow, I can't believe he made those comments. That's an atrocious way to manage a team and players.
ReplyDeleteI mean, I'm not shocked that Colletti thinks that way, just that he would basically say it publicly.
Oh wait....

New post up top with more of my thoughts on the demotion of Paul, and Colletti's comments in the article Josh S. mentioned.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the heads-up Josh.
