Getting Free Dodgers Tickets From MasterCard

Last Friday I won free tickets through a MasterCard Twitter contest for today's game against the Phillies. The contest asked a question, and the first to answer correctly won a pair of tickets. Here is the question:

How many rookie of the year awards has the @Dodgers franchise received (include Brklyn) & who was the last to earn it? Use #pricelesstrivialess than a minute ago via CoTweet

And my answer:

@MasterCard 16 Rookies of The Year, Hollandsworth in 1996 #pricelesstrivialess than a minute ago via web

And the surprise waiting for me about half an hour later:

Then MasterCard announced the winner with a Tweet:

@Dodgers have won 16 Rookie of the Year awards and the last to win was Todd Hollandsworth. Congrats @ArgyledPlaschke @MLB #pricelesstrivialess than a minute ago via CoTweet

I sent my warmest regards back:

Thank you @MasterCard for tickets to Monday's #Dodgers-#Phillies game! #MLBless than a minute ago via web

Which elicited this Tweet from Eric Stephen of True Blue LA:

I then heard from MasterCard one last time:

Hope you have a good time – RT @ArgyledPlaschke Thank you @MasterCard for tickets to Monday's #Dodgers-#Phillies game! #MLB ^ENless than a minute ago via CoTweet

And I'm off to see Hiroki Kuroda and the boys try to defeat Roy Halladay and our NLCS foes.

Thanks again to MasterCard for the free tickets, I really appreciate it.

  1. Nice win. Have fun at the game. Halliday is my main pitcher on my fantasy team. Now that the Dodgers are out of the playoff hunt, I'm cheering for Halliday.

I've won three twitter contests from DodgertownUSA, none of which has gotten what I want, a gold glove Matt Kemp bobblehead or Silver bat Andre Ethier bobblehead.

  2. Thanks, watching Halladay and Kuroda should be a treat.

I'm dying to get my hands on a Matt Kemp Gold Bobble, would have had one last week had I not made a stupid mistake on the DodgertownUSA giveaway question.

Still hoping to snag one next month. 3 chances, one of my main goals for the month haha.

And I'm still looking for an Ethier Bobble in general haha. The Silver one would be sweet.
