Scott Van Slyke Video
This clip is from the Inland Empire 66ers game on July 24th, against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, the Angels High-A affiliate. The 66ers prevailed.
Van Slyke is the son of former big leaguer Andy Van Slyke, who played for the Cardinals, Pirates, Orioles, and Phillies from the early 1980s to the mid 1990s. Andy Van Slyke had a career .349 OBP, .355 wOBA, and averaged roughly 3.3 WAR per season, topping 5 WAR three times, including a career-best 6.7 WAR for the Pirates in 1992.
Scott is also the proud owner of this excellent Fu Manchu.
