Matt Kemp Sparkles. But Really, What Else Is New?

Surprisingly affordable for such a super-short-printed card. A winning bid of just $4.99 - I was the sole bidder for this beauty - with $2.49 to ship it.

So yeah. $7.48 delivered for a card that probably has less than 25 copies in existence (as gimmicky as it most certainly is). I'm purely taking a wild stab in the dark with 25. Does anybody have the faintest idea of just how short-printed these sparkle cards really are?

I can always live in my super-duper short-printed bubble.

But really. I am interested to know. I'm somewhat maybe positive these were one per case, so they can't be that abundant, right?

  1. If I had to take a stab at it, I would say they may be on par with the legends short prints. Topps stated that the legends had a print run of 3000 but that was in 2010. Who knows about 2011. It would be fair to say that it would be anywhere from 2500 to 4000. Again, thats just a guess.

  2. Wow. I was only marginally off then!

That's insane. Especially for such a hyped gimmick.

    Oh well.

  3. Great pick up. I think it was worth it. That's some nice sparkle coming from the National League MVP.
