Al Rosen White Whale Harpooned: 1955 Topps Doubleheaders (with Diering)!

My Al Rosen needs are dwindling. To clarify, when I say needs, I mean non-auto and non-relic needs, because even though he hasn't been in a ton of sets over the last handful of decades, there are certainly enough parallels to keep me going if I choose that cardboard path. One of my biggest needs was recently tracked down.

And for a great price, no less. I had been after a Rosen 1955 Topps Doubleheaders for the longest time but auction after auction got away because the price was never right. The fact that Rosen is paired with an Oriole hurt in terms of price, I guess. The faceless creatures behind The Hebrew Hammer are a nice touch.

For you O's fans who don't despise me, here's Chuck Diering. His right eye appears to have alien-like qualities, or he simply got into a fight with Rosen for top billing on the card and lost, clearly.

The back of the card to finish us off. $7.58 shipped and it's all mine.
