Clayton Kershaw autos are not quite as affordable as they once were, but that's to be expected when you're the best pitcher in baseball with two Cy Young Awards on your resume. Honestly, I'm shocked they weren't more expensive earlier on. Thankfully, I was able to snag this gorgeous beauty for a good but fair amount months ago. Yes, I'm a slow poster.
My 25th Kid K John Hancock hails from 2007 TriStar Elegance Showtime and is numbered out of a scant 25 copies (12/25). The patch comes from Clayton's days in the minors with the Gulf Coast Dodgers, and I'd venture to say it's from the number on the front of the uniform. Clayton was with the GCL Dodgers in 2006 after being drafted by the club earlier that year. In 10 appearances (8 of them starts) and 37 innings, Kersh fanned 54 while walking 5. His rate stats were insane: 0.69 FIP, 13.14 K/9, 1.22 BB/9, 10.80 K/BB, 0.89 WHIP.
Hella-sick! :-)
ReplyDeleteThose are video game numbers he posted in the GCL. Sick stats and sick card!
