Another day, another T206 added to my modest but ever-growing PC of The Monster. This one was secured through an REA auction over a year ago and aside from possessing some nice deep red/orange color, it was also once owned by a hobby luminary: Charles Bray.
It's my second T206 with the Bray Pedigree, but it won't be my last. Danny Moeller was known as the "Rochester Rambler" and "Daredevil Dan," being especially lauded for his baserunning and base stealing acumen during his time with three teams in the bigs. In college, he lettered in four sports and paid for his education by playing minor league ball during the summer months. He suffered a shoulder injury so bad that President Taft ordered his personal physician to try and assist for the betterment of the Washington Senators.
Post-baseball, Moeller opened a lumberyard and worked as a clerk in an appliance shop. This newest addition is PSA slabbed as Authentic Altered and presents very well for the grade, with some minor paper loss and other small issues.
