Happy Belated, Mr. President

I was a history major in college and that love of old things has heavily influenced my desire to collect cards and historical moments and my specific enjoyment of vintage cardboard. While that love has manifested itself almost exclusively in sports-related cards it does occasionally bleed over into the history of other things.

Abraham Lincoln is my favorite President and after working on an order for a customer that had a Lincoln card within it I decided it was finally time to add one to my own collection of old paper stock with pictures on the front. My only stipulation was it be an 1800s item and this Y96 Scrap Pictures Die-Cut offering met that limited criteria (production date of 1888).

It garnered a PSA 2 (MK) due to paper loss and a small penciled 7 on the reverse.

    1. I feel the same! Quality back then might have been better than a lot of newer stuff....
