A Night Baseball Players Actually Fought

For this Friday the 13th let's flash back to a scary -- as far as brawls go -- benches-clearing incident between the Dodgers and Diamondbacks on June 11th of 2013. Ian Kennedy plunked Yasiel Puig in the face; Zack Greinke retaliated by hitting Miguel Montero in the back; and Kennedy came back and nailed Greinke in the shoulder. The benches cleared after the second and third beanings with the latter clearing leading to an actual baseball fight.

I very much remember watching that night and being amazed that baseball players were actually fighting. A while back I purchased a complete set of 2013 Dodgers' home game tickets. There were a number of memorable and meaningful occurrences that season at Dodger Stadium and this series of events certainly qualifies for the former.

I sent in the ticket and got back a shiny PSA 10. It's random, it doesn't necessarily fit my collection beyond being a ticket and featuring a couple of Dodgers I enjoyed watching in Yasiel and Zack, and it's not something that should be celebrated. But despite all of that, there is something unique about it.
