"Tammy, I Was Approaching Infertility When I Met You, But There Is Still Time."

One of my favorite tertiary characters on Rick and Morty is Birdperson. He checks all of the correct boxes for me -- weird, not too ridiculously unbelievable, funny lines, and a great story. My sketch love is 100% focused on Archer searches and scores but I allow myself a saved eBay search for Rick and Morty so I can snag the occasional good deal I stumble upon.

This pickup was a good deal and having one Birdperson was always going to be a must. The artist did not strike me as familiar (Rusty? Rustico?) but their artwork on this Cryptozoic release is absolute fantastic.

Danny Trejo In My Collection Is Not Something I Had On My Bingo Board

Here's another glorious Rick and Morty sketch card I was able to land from eBay for a reasonable sum. I didn't go into this totally not new venture with a plan in mind other than to find affordable 1 of 1 creations that display great artwork and cool characters. In a universe full of weird, strange, awesome people and creatures....that would be the easy part.

Brent Scotchmer and his take on the Danny Trejo-voiced Jaguar instantly stood out and I was happy to take this one down and add it to the collection. The Pickle Rick episode is one of the absolute best in the entire six season run of the show and Jaguar was a really fun addition to an already stellar premise.

Wubba Lubba Dub Dub!

My love of sketch cards is not just limited to Archer, although that does occupy the vast majority of my attention and wallet. While I search for them every day and have picked up a ton this year I have found a little time to troll eBay for other artwork I could add to my PC.

I love Rick and Morty (Justin Roiland's abhorrent behavior notwithstanding) and have picked up some original art related to the show over the last few years. That has been almost entirely comic books until some eBay splurging yielded a handful of beautiful sketches.

Jason Heil is the mind behind this Chef Rick Sanchez piece. I'm definitely not going to allow for my enjoyment of these to reach the Archer level -- mostly because money don't grow on trees -- but damn if these aren't stupendous little things.
