His bruised shoulder is separated, per Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times.
The solution is quite simple really: DL Kershaw. He is far, far, far too valuable to risk further injury. The team is over 99% to make the playoffs, and once there, anything can happen. The playoffs are a crapshoot.
I don't believe we can win it all without Clayton. So let him rest, save his arm some innings (which was a good idea even before his injury) and then bring him back towards the end of the month.

ReplyDeleteThat's almost what i say to people on dodgers.com word for word.
Great minds think alike haha.
ReplyDeleteTruer words could not be said about the playoffs, yet people constantly think you can guarantee winning if you assemble the best team on paper.
The worst is when you have writers say that the Dodgers having the best record doesn't guarantee anything (i.e. being the favorites doesn't matter, which is true), so they propose trading for veterans to make the team appear even more like the favorites.
