Notes From Friday's Game

1. Hiroki Kuroda was excellent over 8 IP (2 ER, 3 Hits, 5 K, 0 BB, 86 pitches - 55 for strikes). He also drew a walk.
   
2. I'm surprised Torre didn't let Kuroda finish off the game, and I'm even more surprised/upset that with an 8 run lead, it wasn't Charlie Haeger pitching in the 9th. Perfect time to use him Joe.
3. Bullpen: 1 IP, 1 ER, 2 Hits.
4. Casey Blake hit his 17th HR.
5. Matt Kemp (Double, Single, BB), Blake (HR, Single, BB), and Russell Martin (Double, Single, IBB) all reached base 3 times. Manny (Single, BB), Andre Ethier (2 Singles), and James Loney (Double, Single) each reached base twice.
6. An A.J. Ellis sighting! He came in to catch the 9th inning.
