- Hiroki Kuroda, in his first start since being hit in the head, was up-and-down in 5 IP ( 4 Runs [3 ER], 4 Hits, 3 K, 3 BB [1 BB], 1 HR Allowed, 89 pitches - 52 for strikes).
- Bullpen: 4 IP, 0 Runs, 3 Hits, 4 K,0 BB.
- Manny (Single, IBB), Rafael Furcal (Single, BB, HBP), James Loney (2 Singles), and Russell Martin (Single, BB) each reached base twice.
- Rest is all well and good, but with a struggling offense, resting your best player isn't the most intelligent decision. And then not pinch-hitting him for Juan Pierre in the 7th with 2 men on when you're down by two? Doubly stupid. Yeah, he pinch-hit later in the inning with two men on, but putting him in for Pierre would have given Kemp a second at-bat in the 9th inning. More Bison is always a good thing.
