I would give Ely another start, but we'll just have to wait and see if management is impressed. Ely's not an elite prospect, never was, and doesn't have overpowering stuff, but he looked good at times and is a fresh arm.

- Russell Martin hit his 2nd HR of the season, a 2-run shot to left.

- Why does Garret Anderson get to pinch-hit over Blake DeWitt. Even if DeWitt were injured, his .377 OBP belongs in that situation.
