The first relic is just money all the way around - from the look of the card to its commemoration of Reese being the first player to reach base three times in one inning (damn) - and by far my favorite of the two. The second relic troubles me a bit, because unless I'm missing something, Upper Deck actually etched something onto a piece of a Pee Wee Reese bat. Which just doesn't sit all that well with me. My local shop has a stack of bat relics similar to these, and the whole concept somewhat grinds my gears. Oh well, what are ya gonna do, right? 'Tis better to have a Pee Wee Reese bat relic - or two, as present circumstances dictate - than to not have a Pee Wee Reese bat relic at all.
Interestingly enough, the Reese cards were not what originally prodded me to propose Corky a trade. He posted a sweet Russell Westbrook jersey card, and what was the genesis of our swap has taken a backseat because of the Reeses (damn, now I want some Reese's).

Donruss scores with a pretty badass design.

In return for these great cards, I sent Corky a Carmelo Anthony jersey numbered 15 out of something (15 being Melo's number), as well as a pair of hits I hope he'll like and, of course, some other assorted cardboard.
Thanks for the cards Corky, enjoy yours! I hope to trade again in the future.

And if they want to deface a bat, at least make it Pokey Reese's bat.
