I'm not big on memorabilia unless I'm meeting a player or get a ridiculously great deal on a piece. This post features an item that falls into the latter of those two categories. Brian from 30-Year Old Cardboard picked up a lot of five signed 8x10s, all of the same player and with the same inscription. He was offering the extras up for $11 bucks a pop, and having just held a card draft - yeah, this is how much I need to get posted - I figured eleven clams was nothing to worry over.
I made the right decision, I would say, as I'm now the proud owner of this beautiful Fergie Jenkins auto with a fantastic "HOF 91" inscription. Jenkins has as elegant a signature as you'll find, and the Spring Training background, old Cubs logo on his shoulder, and clean John Hancock make this eleven bucks some of my best-spent money that I can remember.
Thanks Brian!
Badass.
