So, Russell Martin Is Aware of My Russell Martin Super-Collection....

I recently posted about some of my favorite Russell Martin cards. It was a fun post to put together, what with it being about 90% visual. I posted an "In Case You Missed It" Tweet later that night on the post and found that the Tweet had been favorited by somebody. That somebody? Russell Martin.


So awesome. I've had a couple of my Tweets favorited and Re-Tweeted by Russ' agency before, but never by the man himself. Russ is one of my all-time favorite Dodgers, and this just reinforces how cool a dude he is.

    I am a Russell Martin fan as well and on 09/18/2006 I was lucky enough to get the HR hit by Russell as the 3rd of 4 consecutive Dodger HR's. Dave Roberts tossed it up to me after it hit a bench in the LFP and bounced back onto the field. With help from a security guard, Russell was kind enough to autograph it for me a week or so later at the stadium.
    I didn't arrive until the 6th inning and stayed to the finish of a beautiful comeback victory.
