I try and pick up cards of Roy Campanella when I can, which of course is a nice way of saying when the price isn't prohibitive. One I was in need of recently popped up on eBay and I was more than happy to acquire it for a great price.
This gorgeous piece of cardboard is a 1961 Nu-Card Scoops which commemorates Campy winning the NL MVP in 1953. It's graded a Mint 9 by PSA with an off-center notation. It's in remarkable shape and ran me an even more remarkable $6 shipped.
It pairs oh so nicely with the 1960 Nu Hi-Lites card of Roy I picked up at my first ever card show earlier this year. The cards are essentially the same except that one is horizontal and one is vertical.
Very nice!
ReplyDeleteGracias!
ReplyDeleteAwesome card, I don't really see what caused it to get the (OC) marking. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteThanks sbl! Maybe a bit bottom to top? Either way, can't beat six bucks!
