Another Al Rosen is in the books as I was able to secure the black-back variation of his 1952 Topps card from eBay for a mere $6 shipped.
According to some info I found on the PSA Registry website, this version of Rosen's black-back is somewhat rare because there's a pink gap between his hat and the red background. Which really just means the insane part of me now wants the other black-back version without the hat gap.
I think that's all for the Hebrew Hammer in terms of 1952 Topps, as I don't believe there is a gray-back variation for him. This is totally a fun set to be colorblind for.
The red-back Rosen. Yes, I'm too lazy to scan the back (aka the important part).
That's Flippin fantastic. Great pickup.
ReplyDeleteI don't know anything about Al Rosen, but that is a sweet card. You don't see Chief Wahoo on cards nowadays.
ReplyDeleteThanks dudes!
ReplyDeleteDang. When you stop showing Bisona and Getzlafs, you really show some amazing cardboard.
