There are certain Matt Kemp cards which have moved into the realm of collecting possibility following what were a couple of years of out of this world prices. These tend to be his higher-end hits, and while I knew at the time I couldn't afford most of them, I was confident I would one day acquire them. I never could have guessed how quickly those days would come, but I've been as diligent as I could be in making the most of them when they have presented themselves.
My latest acquisition hails from 2011 Topps Update and the All-Star Stitches auto-relic subset. Featuring Mattycakes' John Hancock and a swatch of an All-Star workout jersey, this bad boy ran me less than $15 delivered and actually came from my buddy Rich, who owns a card shop not too far away from me. It's numbered 12/25 and is a long-awaited and most welcome addition to my Bison Collection.
That is a nice one! Those were hard to come by on the secondary market for good prices.
ReplyDeleteTotally killer card, dude! Kemp's auto on this one is balanced in such a great way and how can you not love the NL jersey?!
ReplyDeleteMan, if I had a card shop nearby, let alone a friends card shop...
Really nice. I love when you can identify which jersey the swatch came from.
ReplyDeleteAwesome card brotha
