Jackie Robinson Pickup: 1948 Old Gold Cigarettes "Kneeling" -- Slabbed a PSA 2!

Jackie Robinson would have been 101 on January 31st. I am of the opinion that you can never have enough playing-era Jackie Robinson cards. I don't have much but what I do have I treasure. Recently a couple opportunities to add to the small stack presented themselves and I jumped as fast as I could.

This absolute stunner hails from the 1948 Old Gold Cigarettes two-card offering, both of which are of the one and only Jackie. There's a Leaping Pose and a Kneeling in Dugout Pose and the Dugout variation came up on eBay for a reasonable price. I made the seller an offer and much to my delight he accepted without a counter. I submitted it at work and I was very excited to see it come back in a PSA 2 slab (I would have been thrilled with a straight Authentic).

Here's the back with light damage that does not distract, the best kind of cardboard damage. It also mentions his time at UCLA, a plus on any card of Jackie's.
