Here's Part 3 of my second trade with Jeroen from The Dutch Card Guy, and the second follow-up to that long ago money for cardboard transaction. I was really excited to see the below was part of Jeroen's Kershaw Collection that he was parting with, and I was even happier that nobody beat me to laying a claim on it.
What a gorgeous piece of modern cardboard! This little thing is a Mini Tall Boy Autograph found in 2013 Topps Archives. Kid K was on-point in not signing to the edge and he came through with a big and bold on-card graph. It's easily one of my favorite Kershaw pieces in my own collection of the Dallas product.
Kersh looks rather angelic in the pose Topps used. It actually reminds me a lot of the shots you see in vintage sets from the 50s and 60s, specifically some of the Dodgers found in 1954 Bowman. I dig it. The Tall Boy is numbered 07/25 and BGS gave it three 9.5s while the centering thankfully held at a 9 to keep the overall grade a 9.5. Thanks as always to Dodger Penguin for submitting to Texas for me.
And Jeroen, thanks once again!
